HOW TO SCHEDULE AN AUTHOR VISIT WITH JENNIFER ALLISON:

DEAR GILDA JOYCE readers:

If you would like to have me come to your school to talk about writing, you should tell your librarian, a teacher or a parent about your interest. Have someone who has the authority to plan author visits send me an email at with the subject heading "SCHOOL VISIT" (or something similar). Then we'll discuss the details. Hope to see you at your school!

During an author visit at your school, I will share the sources of inspiration that generated the Gilda Joyce novels and offer helpful tips for enhancing the writing process and generating all types of creative work. I'm available for school assemblies and smaller classroom writing workshops during which I guide your students through the process of creating character, setting, and story. After an author visit, your students will not only be excited to read and discuss the "Gilda Joyce" mysteries, they will have renewed enthusiasm for their own writing and creative work.
